Welcome to the Master’s Touch

This page of our website is designed to help you experience the healing touch of Jesus Christ. It amazes me that while Jesus Christ has the ability to cure people from all their infirmities, some of Gods people today struggle to give an appropriate response to the needs faced by many in the community. At times the church has given people generic answers to their problems without giving them the real solution. While well intentioned believers may offer the encouragement to pray harder, read your bible more, or stop what you are doing; they stop short of "tearing the roof off" to get the hurting, broken hearted and sick to the very feet of Jesus. (Mark 2:3-12)

I'm not saying what we do doesn't help. It's just that we must admit our limitations and we must be more intentional in our efforts to become the Body of Christ; to be His hands and feet in this day and age.

It is has been said that it takes 7 significant touches before a visitor at church feels as if they are truly cared about. I personally have been to some churches that seem more like last minute Christmas shopping frenzies, where everyone can’t seem to get what they came for and leave. Other times I have been silenced by the coldness that drifts throughout the congregation during the whole service with only minor glimpses of sunshine during the meet and greet time when the pastor directed them to greet each other. This should never ever be the case in church. We the Church should make every effort to touch people every chance we get. Word of Caution! I am talking about appropriate touching here. It's amazing to me when we say that this these days how misconstrued so many people can take it.

It seems that today we are afraid to reach out to each other, even to our own members. Even in family units you will notice a cold distant connection anymore. It is almost as if we have cocooned ourselves and dare anyone to violate our space. Man in his efforts to be in control of his own environment and life has built these invisible walls, which often seem impenetrable. At the same time, there is a deep lonely hunger inside of him growing for a sense of connectedness, a sense of belonging, a sense of knowing, a sense of being cared for. Yet the walls, while invisible, are still there. My prayer is that the walls will come down here as you visit with us and we will help you learn appropriate boundaries, but at the same time let you experience the touch of Jesus.
